Sustainability

Sustainability is part of our everyday life. In addition to working with environmentally friendly materials, we try to live up to our social, economic and environmental responsibility in all areas.

It starts with our workplace. We moved in 2017, so we are closer to the our storage facilities. This means shorter distances, more time for us and fewer vehicles on the road.

This is not only better for the environment, but also for our working conditions. On the one hand, because our new location doesn’t offer many eating options in the surroundings, we have opted to cook and eat together as a team daily. We source our produce from a communal pantry, enjoy local organic products and at the end oft he meal run our energy efficient dishwasher. On the other hand, thanks to the vicinity of the marina of our new location, the river bikepath enticed many colleagues to switch from driving to biking to work. Both promote the well-being of our employees, which is one of our core values.

Much is thrown away in the trade show construction industry, therefore we pay attention to the reusability of our materials. Frames, wall systems, floors and wood are always carefully inspected during dismantling and efforts are always made to reuse them. FSC-certified wood, Oeko-Tex fabrics and blue angel paint are naturally part of the material we use.

Of course, there is always room for improvement. We know that sustainability is not achieved statically, but is a living processs that is achieved - not by laws or regulations, but by people. That's why open communication and a flat hierarchy are part of the Servamus culture and every employee is free to contribute their own ideas and wishes for sustainability. And that is also sustainability.
